INGREDIENTS:
2 pounds of cooking pear (Giezer Wildeman)
1 cinnamon stick
1 bottle of gluhwine (wine you can drink warm) or bottle of red wine + 1 ounce sugar
10 cloves
1 lemon peel zest
*If you don't want alcohol?, use a bottle red currant juice + water and extra sugar.
INSTRUCTIONS:
Don't use an aluminum pan! It will reduce the taste of the pears.
1. Use a sharp knife or peeler to cut lemon zest and peel the pear. Keep the pears in shape.
2. Put the cooking pears in a large pan, add the wine, cinnamon stick, sugar and 10 cloves , lemon zest and bring it to boil.
3. Allow the contents to simmer for 2 hours.
4. Stir it from time to time with a wooden spoon.
